Antony Gormley
The book develops from the idea of art, according to Antony Gormley. According to the notion that art starts from the inside of ourselves and extends, this editorial wants to follow the same concept through a principle of expansion.
This artwork has a double purpose. On the one hand, it aims to visualize the artist’s vision through a conceptual medium; on the other hand, it seeks to analyze Antony Gormley’s works and the different periods characterizing his art.
The book will explore the various themes touched by Gormley’s work: the man-space dialectic, land art, sculpture connected with energy, man, and movement.
Composition
On a compositional level, the book is composed of several sections.
The first part, the innermost and smallest booklet, refers to the idea of contemplating the space within ourselves, accessible only when we close our eyes. For this reason, the black we see when we close our eyes will be used as the primary background color of this section. In particular, this section analyzes some of the artist’s works that are not covered during the more extensive section’s analysis.
